Tucked
away in the hills of Orange County California, is the home and winery of a
master winemaker, Ron Tamez of Hamilton Oaks Vineyard. Who would have guessed
that a world class wine could come from a winery here in bustling Southern
California?
I
first discovered Hamilton Oaks wine at a restaurant. I had their Zin and was
captivated!
I
noticed that it was from Trabuco Canyon, right here in Orange County. I had to
take a trip to find out more about this wine. Once there, a friend and I were
welcomed to a quaint tasting room and some of the best wine that I had ever
tasted. Truly, I had given up on Syrahs - until I tasted his masterpiece. His
2002 & 2003 Cabernet is heaven in a wine glass. The port won the coveted
Gold medal. Each wine is carefully blended & nurtured to its best vintage.
Ron will not release a vintage until he is absolutely certain that it is the
best that it can be. He is a humble man who is a brilliant winemaker...He is
involved in every aspect from the soil to the harvest. He treats his guests
with hospitality, stories and tastings. His medals grace a small wall in
the tasting room - Gold medals, beating out the "big guns" of Napa
& Sonoma wineries.
Join
the wine club, too for a true insider's experience into this brilliance of this
winery.
A
Votre Sante, Ron ~ God bless!

Dear Ron and Connie,
A few months ago a friend of mine asked me if I would like to
taste some incredible wine. I had heard her speak of the wine from
Hamilton Oaks Vineyard but didn't realize what a treat I was about to
experience. We made an appointment with Ron Tamez, a fabulous
winemaker and owner, to open his tasting room.
There in a quaint tasting room I learned more about wine
and enjoyed every drop of my pour. It is hard to chose a favorite but I
lean toward his cabernet and the red blends.
I couldn't leave without joining the wine club. Looking
forward to Hamilton Oaks continued success.
